Scripture: "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" — Isaiah 43:19
What a beautiful day God has given us! As the sun rises on this first day of our new conference year, our hearts are filled with gratitude for God's faithfulness. We thank God for bringing us through another year of ministry and for the new opportunities that lie before us.
Our theme, Sacred Shifts, reminds us that God is always at work, leading us into new seasons of growth, hope, and purpose. Change can be uncertain, but when God is the One guiding our steps, every shift becomes sacred. We move forward not in fear, but in faith, trusting that the God who has been with us yesterday will continue to lead us tomorrow.
This Sunday, we will gather for a special service of celebration and thanksgiving as we begin this new chapter together. We will rejoice in all that God has done, give thanks for the journey we have shared, and dedicate ourselves anew to the work God has called us to do. I hope you will join us with joyful hearts, ready to worship and celebrate God's goodness.
Thank you for the countless ways you serve Christ through Springfield United Methodist Church and throughout our community. Whether you pray, teach, sing, welcome guests, prepare meals, care for children, visit neighbors, serve on committees, volunteer behind the scenes, or simply offer words of encouragement, your ministry matters. Together, we are making a difference for the Kingdom of God.
As we enter this new conference year, may we embrace every sacred shift with courage, hope, and joy, knowing that God is leading us every step of the way.
Let us pray: Gracious and loving God, thank You for the gift of this beautiful new day and this new conference year. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Your grace, and Your constant presence among us. Bless every member of our church family as we continue to serve You with joyful hearts. Unite us in love, strengthen us for ministry, and help us to embrace every sacred shift with confidence in Your promises. May all we do bring glory to You and hope to our community.
